| Our historic relationship with The ELC/PNG has been a source of inspiration. Being in a companion relationship with a partner church in another part of the world reminds us that our faith is not just local and we need each other. |

Volunteers
In September of 2009 we sent 10 volunteers to our companion synod in PNG. We spend about 2/3 of the time building houses in a remote village with Habitat for Humanity. We then spent the remainder of the time where our bishops signed a covenant.
Visitors
In May of 2010 we hosted a member of the partnership committee of the ELC/PNG to be in our synod for 3 weeks to teach and fellowship with congregations
