| Our relationship with Estonia strengthens the global ministry of the ELCA by providing a forum for conversation and support. The witness of the Estonian Lutheran Church, especially during the dark days of Soviet occupation, is an inspiration. |

Visitation Program
Since the late 1990's, we have had an ongoing exchange program with our companion Synod. Every two years a delegation from the US travels to Estonia, or a delegation from Estonia travels to the US.
Youth Program
In 2009, an Estonian youth traveled with youth from the DE-MD Synod to National ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans.
