| Our role with our brothers and sisters in El Salvador is accompaniment. We send and receive delegations to help deepen and strengthen our relationships. |

Prayer Partnerships
We encourage individuals in each of our churches to pray for their prayer child, family members and others with whom a relationship has been established in their Salvadoran community.
Education
Scholarships for children to attend local schools and university are an important factor in our fundraising activities.
Delegations to El Salvador
We encourage participation in the delegations that are organized each year and work with the Sister Parish Program Director of the Lutheran Church in El Salvador. First time visitors have said it is a 'life changing' experience.
Delegations from El Salvador
In May, 2011 Bishop Medardo Gomez and four of his pastors participated in our Synod Assembly and visited several of our churches who have a Sister Parish relationship. Their visit re-energized everyone in our Synod.
Local Programs/Projects
Commitment to CRIPDES San Vicente and their youth development program. 2011 grant from the Endowment Fund to support Law for a Life Free of Violence Against Women working with ORMUSA and Prudencia Ayala Feminist Coalition
Health
Support for clinics in rural areas of El Salvador. Medical missions to communities.
SHARE El Salvador
Annual financial support of SHARE El Salvador (la Fundacion SHARE); Two members of University Lutheran Chapel serve on the Board of SHARE and the congregation provides office space for 6 staff members for the SHARE Board.
Immigration
Work with East Bay Interfaith Immigration Coalition in Oakland on issues affecting documented and undocumented immigrants and domestic workers.
