| Through visits, e-mails and personal friendships, members of the Rocky Mountain Synod and our four companion synods in Madagascar have enlarged our understanding of what it means to be Body of Christ in a global context. |

Support of Betela Seminary
We help with financial support of Betela Regional Seminary and have undertaken a variety of special projects: electrifying the campus with a solar power unit, providing funding for new student housing.
Visits to Madagascar
We attempt to visit our companion synods as often as we can. Our trip in 2005 included youth and adults. In 2006 we attended synodical anniversaries in Antsiranana and Mahajanga. In November 2011, we plan to return again for anniversary celebrations.
Fifiamangiana 2009
In August 2009 we welcomed six Malagasy guests for a two-week summit on accompaniment. Our guests made their way to locations throughout our synod to give RMS members a chance to experience our joint ministries personally.
