| We gain a greater understanding of and appreciation for our partners in the Lutheran Church in Colombia through visits (both directions). A visit I took part in two years ago included becoming more familiar with the work of Lutheran World Federation |

Prayer partnerships
Prayers for our companion synod and partner congregations take place regularly in many of our churches.
Volunteers from our synod
We have had a couple of teachers visit Colombia and work at the Lutheran school in Sogamoso.
Delegations
A group of people from our synod will be going to Colombia in November 2010, visiting with partner churches and taking part in a consultation with IELCO leaders with regard to future plans for our partner relationship.
scholarships
Some of our congregations support the LIZWAN organizations which provides scholarships for future leaders in the Lutheran church in Colombia.
