| Through Companion Synod Visits, hosting visitors from the ELCPNG, the support of missionaries Rod Nordby and Nancy Anderson, the CSS-ELCA helps build the overall relationship between the ELCA and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea. |

Designated Communicator Rev. Maiyupe Par of the Kate District of the ELC - Papua New Guinea has been designated as the communicator between the CSS-ELCA and the Kate District-ELCPNG. He will meet with Pastor Teske in PNG in January to find ways to improve commununications.
Companion Synod Visit A group from the CSS-ELCA will be visiting the Kate District of the ELCPNG within the next 18 months to work on a 5 year plan for their relationship.
Missionary Sponsorship Several congregations in the CSS-ELCA help sponsors Missionaries Rod Nordby and Nancy Anderson who serve with the ELCPNG and are based at the church headquarters in Lae, Papua New Guinea
Gary Teske of the Central States Synod will travel to Goroka in January, 2012 to represent the ELCA at the National Assembly of the ELCPNG and to work on plans for better communication and future trips with the leaders of the Kate District, ELCPNG.
