Profile of the companion synod relationship - 4B Central States Synod / Russia / Urals, Siberia, and the Far East
| Our Role in Global Mission |
| We have opened a door to the people of the RFE to share our faith - teach and share our Christianity, We learn from each other and pray for each other. We are learning how difficult it can be to establish a bi-lateral relationship. |
| Component(s) of our relationship |
Cultural The freedom of faith in the Lutheran Church, is relatively new in the RFE. We have learned that we need to understand the history so we can understand how it is a part of daily life . The freedom seems fleeting and is not trusted.
Accompaniment We have promoted this methodoloy in our relationship with the RFE. To be honest, it is not working there. I believe this is due to cultural and communication issues. When the "Brick and Mortar" meets "Accompaniment" there is a lack of communicatio
Visitors In the past, we have visited RFE and received visitors from the RFE. We no longer visit each other - making our relationship very distant and difficult.
