Profile of the companion synod relationship - 4C Arkansas / Oklahoma Synod / Tanzania / Morogoro Diocese (MGD)
Our Role in Global Mission

Our Global Mission committee coordinates mission trips to the Morogoro Diocese each year. Currently,we have raised funds for and sent chapel construction teams, medical-surgical teams and raise funds for water well drilling.

Component(s) of our relationship

Water well drilling
We have raised over $100,000 for water wells in the region around Morogoro, TZ. Each well costs about $13,500 and well depths up to 100 meters are required. Local villagers are now raising funds locally to assist with each project.

chapel and school construction teams
Each year for the past 6 years we have sent building teams to work with the villagers to build chapels, evangelist homes and schools. We raise funds to match the funds raised locally to construct chapels at a cost of approxiately $6,000.

medical surgical team
For the past 6 years a team of doctors, nurses and lay workers has provided medical and surgical services in Morogoro TZ. Our team works with local doctors in a Morogoro hospital to provide surgical assistance to the Morogoro area inhabitants.
