| Accompanying our brothers and sisters in the C.A.R. during our 10+ year relationship has involved commitments to local projects, in response to requests from the EELRCA and its leaders, including current President Golike, and other C.A.R. partners. |

Prayer Partnerships:
Includes congregations praying weekly during worship and weekly prayer services for our companions.
Visitors to or from our Synod:
EELRCA representatives visited our synod in 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2010, most recently President André Golike. Representatives of our synod have been on delegations to C.A.R. in 2008 and 2010. Our bishop and others will visit CAR in 2011.
Village Education Program:
We support the EELRCA’s Village Education Program that has organized elementary schools in 20 villages without government schools. There are currently over 4000 students in these schools and the first permanent building is under construction.
Martha and Mary Women’s Center:
We helped fund the building where Lutheran women meet to grow in faith, and women, regardless of religion, can enroll in classes to learn basic skills that improve their lives and those of their families. We now support the Center’s operation.
FCC Young Women’s Scholarships:
Scholarship funds cover the cost of tuition, books, room, and board for women to attend secondary schools. Scholarships awarded by the FCC will change the life of a young woman who will impact her own family.
Emmanuel Health Center at Gallo:
This new Lutheran clinic includes treatment for illnesses and injuries, community based health program and should help reduce infant and maternal mortality. We support clinic operations and, over time, the expansion of facilities.
Transportation:
Our synod responded to President Golike’s call for motorcycles. These will benefit local pastors who walk long distances in service to multiple congregations. They will also be used to transport people for health care.
